Schedule of our sport activities:
Sundays, 08:00-09:00, Outdoor exercise for men with Avraham Aleman. Description: Provide an encouraging environment for men of all fitness levels to push themselves to grow and build a healthy sense of self. Easy to learn exercises but can become as difficult as the participants want to make it.
Tuesday, 08:00-09:00, Yoga with Chagit Lanton.
Wednesdays, 07:00-08:00, HIIT Strength & Cardio Comb with Allison Pollock.
Wednesdays, 19:00, Saucony's running groups with Guy Sabo.
Thursdays, 08:00-09:00, Qigong with Illa. This is a standing workout, which suits all ages. The aim of it is to foster the practice of health according to ancient Chinese medicine principles. The movements are easy to learn and focus on breathing and posture.
Fridays, 08:00-09:00, Pilates with Rucha Fag.
All morning lessons (except the Pilates on fridays) cost 20 NIS, and the evening lessons are free.
The Trainers biographies:
Allison Pollock: "My name is Allison Pollock and I am a Certified Personal Trainer (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and Social Worker. I am passionate about fitness and nutrition, and I love to help people of all ages reach their health and fitness goals. I am particularly excited about the benefits of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), which consists of bursts of intense exercise interspersed with rest periods. The benefits of this type of exercise include increased cardiovascular fitness, as well as continued burning of calories and fat, up to 24 hours after a HIIT workout!"
Linor Rosenberg: Born in California, raised in Boston, and Yerushalmit now for 5 years and counting, Linor found fitness in a suburban boxing studio at age 14. After years of providing self-deprecating entertainment for the dance and gymnastics instructors of the Greater Boston area, someone handed her a pair of gloves, and everything changed. Over time, her love of pounding on a bag grew to include the runner's high, the yogi's flow, and the Spinner's Bike Sprint. She is incredibly excited to combine two of her favorite workouts for an invigorating morning workout that will wake you up gradually with a Vinyasa flow, release the aggression of the week in a heart-pumping kickbox sequence, and end in meditation. When not sweating, Linor can be found spending quality time with her dog Harley, and her Cat Adi, and perfecting her artisan bread recipe.
Avraham Aleman: "I grew up in Los Angeles playing a lot of baseball and went to college at UC San Diego. I learned a lot about weight training and conditioning with the school baseball team and began training other team members and roommates. After graduating college I came to Israel and started learning in yeshivat Aish HaTorah where I've been now for over 3 years. At the beginning of 2016 I started a health and wellness program at my yeshiva called Aish Wellness. I provide two outdoor group exercise sessions a week in the Old City enabling the students a place to engage in a Torah approach to health and fitness. I create an encouraging team environment to get the most out of the students."
Illa Graitzer: Illa has been working with Chi Kung and Tai Chi for over 25 years and learnt from the best teachers in Israel and all over the world. You can study more about her method in her website: www.nifflaot.co.il.
